I would like to introduce you to one of my dark brown dress boots.
I love these boots. They fit perfectly around my calves and I feel super tall in them. And sometimes, they actually make me feel sassy. In fact, I wore them today. I didn't feel as sassy today which is just as well since this happened:
Nice, huh? I noticed at some point during the day that it was coming apart at the toe and then when I walked out the door to leave work, I just about kissed the pavement as I tripped over the entire stinkin' thing coming off!
How does this even happen? It's not like I do anything other than sit at my desk when I'm wearing them. And you know what's the best part? I couldn't drive with it on so I took it off in the car. I was wearing tights and when my foot hit the carpet on the car floor, it got wet. Beyond gross. Wet tight's feet!
Callie was sad about it too. I think I saw a tear.
I guess I'll be on the hunt for some new boots. I can't give my sassy up, can I?
And make sure to enter my Blog Anniversary Giveaway (B.A.G.) - the winner will be announced Sunday night!
Love ya!

Girl- hot glue those things!!!
You poor thing!!! Hope you can get them fixed. If not, I say go shopping!!!
They have shoe repair shops in Lala-bama don't they??
That is hysterical - I think we've all experienced some shoe trauma at some point! For what it's worth - there are several Veteran's Day Sales right now and lots and lots of boots! DSW was a little overwhelming to me but Belk and Macy's have a good selection!! Celebrate the end of Ida and get you some new boots - you can't lose the Sassy!!
Don't you just hate it when your favorite shoes bite the dust? I would have tripped, too, and probably landed flat on my rear end. Well, my rear end use to be flat anyway...What a pretty kitty! She looks like she's analyzing the faulty adhesive.
I love your brown dress boots. They're fabulous and I know how hard it is to find boots that fit perfectly. Oh what a sad story about your boots. May they RIP. :)
When I lived in DC I lost many a beloved pair of boots to the snow. Water murders leather. Sigh.
Jill, there is a shoe shop not far from your house. I take your Daddy's dress shoes there when they need new soles. Give me a call.
So sad! Moments like that are heartbreaking... I then spend obsessive amounts of hours trying to exactly replace my beloved item...usually to no avail.
Best of luck finding new and better boots!!!
Don't throw 'em out. Find a boot shop. They can either re-sole them or repair the sole that's on there. I have done that a bunch of times!
