I had a really good weekend. Saturday morning I woke up sans the alarm clock and got ready for an afternoon at Mama Hen's. Unfortunately, a big ol' zit decided to wakeup on my face too. I also decided that my eyebrows needed a little attention and when I got through, I looked like Dylan McKay from 90210.
(Also, I made a quick trip to Publix and I just can't describe how excited I was when I used my coupons and got some French's mustard for FREE! The fact that I don't like mustard makes absolutely no difference because it was FREE YA'LL! )
We were about 20 minutes into our 30 minute drive to Mama Hen's. when Jay said, "Did you get the Boston Butt out of the fridge?" The fact that we didn't get in a fight as we made a 45 minute detour back to the house says a lot about the state of our 11 year marriage these days. It ended up being a perfectly great day.
Yesterday we went to Church, watched a Yankee's game and then I sat out on my back porch and read a book. DOESN'T.GET.MUCH.BETTER.THAN.THAT! Amen and Amen.

We had a great time Jill. So glad you didn't get into a fuss. Cause then I would have had to beat Jay up when he got here. And that would have been a sad thing to see on the Fourth.
I read yesterday too. Sat in my swing and watched James in the sandbox and read the day away.
Sounds like a good weekend. Glad you had a good 4th and got to enjoy it with your family. Enjoy your day off and I will be spending this day in my pjs also :)

Had I read this 20 years ago, I would have said there is nothing wrong with looking like Dylan McKay, but now...good thing you got those things done.
i would like to confirm you spent the entire day in your pj's. relaxing, sleeping, watching tv and playing your game (minesweeper...for those who don't know) is your idea of a perfect day. i'm happy you were able to have a perfect day on your day off!
