R.I.P. to my Mole AND GIVEWAY WINNER

Yesterday morning I was able to leisurely get ready for work because I had to wait around for the bug lady to show up. I laid in bed too long (got caught up in a book) and didn't realize the time until about 10 minutes before she was supposed to be here. I decided to jump in the shower and get that done before she arrived.

I was hurrying and before I realized it, I had started shaving my legs. Habit, I guess. I really started hurrying then and before I knew it, I had SHAVED A MOLE OFF MY LEG! I felt the cut and then the sting. Oh the wretched sting! I  couldn't tell how bad it was at first because of all the shave gel so I went ahead and started rinsing the conditioner out of my hair. When I looked down again I saw blood running like a river down my leg. And then I heard the doorbell. That bug lady - she's got great timing.

I slapped my washcloth on it and applied pressure (I didn't watch ER all those years for nothin'.) I hobbled to the door, let her in, and spent the next few minutes trying to get it to stop bleeding long enough to get a bandaid on it. I'm not sure why, but I didn't get ANY SYMPATHY WHATSOEVER from the bug lady.

I had my whole night planned - several ways I could milk my injury with Jay. And do you know that stinker made plans to go watch the Auburn game with some friends!!! I propped my leg up on the ottomon all night anyway and pretended there was someone there who cared.

Now, for the important news! The winner of the personalized lap desk from The Southern Belle Boutique is

Rebekah

from In the Heart of Our Home!!! Congratulations Rebekah! Leave me a comment or email me and let me know which desk you would like to have and with what name/initials!

Jill~ that is so awful ... ouchy!... but you are so funny! I would have done the same thing! I gashed open my thumb pretty bad this summer ... well ok... a few weeks ago... and it still has a fairly good sized lump under the scar and it hurts... oops... maybe I shoulda gone in?? Hope you heal up soon! ;)

Oh Jilly...WE care!

I hope you were able to get some sympathy the next day from the Mr.

And I love how Mrs Jennifer said she is moldy. That made me giggle!

YIKES!!!

...but the most concerning part is that the only detail you put in between shower and opening front door was slapping a wash cloth over gaping hole...

I'm really hoping there was also some clothing application that just got left out of the blogging process.

been there/done that with the mole. no fun!! at least you've got smooth legs so the band-aid won't pull your leg hair :)

Oh, how exciting! Thank you, Jill! I think this is the first time I have won a giveaway! And such a great prize! (I just emailed you.)

So sorry about that mole experience. But I am with you on the ER comment! LOL!
