Bliss and Pain

This weekend was total bliss. I had nowhere to go, nothing to do and let me just tell you, it was beautiful to behold. Hubs had weekend coverage so he was M.I.A. during the day Saturday and Sunday. I lit cinnamon candles, turned on all my Christmas lights and read, and read and read as the wind actually howled outside. It was so cold going to Church - there were actually a few little snow flakes on my windshield!

I will say, I don't think I've ever been so glad to get home from Church. I wore a new sweater dress and it was the most uncomfortable thing ever. Well, the dress wasn't uncomfortable - it was what I had to wear UNDER the dress that was the problem. I think we all know that sweater dresses are very unforgiving and I have quite a few areas that need a lot of forgiveness! I thought I would be all smart and wear Spanx - OH.MY.WORD! I think next time I'll just let my stomach hang out. Oh dear, I don't need to do that either. I'll have to give that some more thought.

Just curious, what's the most uncomfortable thing you've worn?

I am jealous of your weekend!

I can't think of the most uncomfortable thing I've ever worn, but if I show up anywhere in a sweater dress (Spanx or no spanx) just slap me silly. No one needs to see that.

I'm happy, happy if I can wear yoga pants all day. It's not that I find the other clothes uncomfortable, just that those yoga pants are MORE comfortable.

I'm with 2busy! If it's not sweats or yoga pants - it's uncomfortable!

Ugh...sweater dresses. We sell those at the store I work. Or rather we have them for sale...even the skinny girls don't want to buy them because they make lumps appear where there aren't, and elephants appear where there are.

One time I wore a full body sucker-inner thingy and it had snaps down by the hoo-hah. It was TERRIBLE!

My wedding dress, due to the underneath part and the weight of the dress...my body hurt towards the end I think I looked like I was melting!

This is too funny because I just purchased a sweater dress yesterday and was thinking I may need to pull my Spanx out of the mothballs if I want to wear it!! And yes, the most uncomfortable thing are the Spanx that go up to your bra and have a little "opening" in to use if you need to go to the bathroom. Have NEVER been able to do that!!!

I could REALLY use a day of laying around all day...
Not to say I'm not doing a lot of laying around, but ALL DAY sounds DELIGHTFUL.

Oh - and the most uncomfortable thing I've ever worn? An 8 pound baby on the inside, of course.

hahaha! The most uncomfortable thing...pantyhose or a strapless bra - it's a tie between those 2 things. Obviously invented by MEN. But sometimes you have to bite the bullet if you want to wear a cute spaghetti strap dress. Going all National Geographic with my boobs just isn't an option these days so I've learned to love dresses with sleeves.

I think the sweater dresses are cute, but I would totally need spanx. I need them as it is! Boo!
